Rated Pressure: The rated operating pressure of this pump is typically around 150 – 200 bar (15 – 20 MPa). This pressure is sufficient to drive the fan with enough force to ensure effective cooling. Since it is a fan pump and not directly involved in heavy-duty hydraulic operations like lifting or pushing in the bulldozer, the pressure requirement is relatively lower compared to the main hydraulic pumps.
Maximum Pressure: The maximum pressure that the pump can withstand for short periods is usually higher than the rated pressure, often reaching up to 250 bar (25 MPa) or more. This additional pressure capacity allows the pump to handle sudden surges in load, such as when the bulldozer is working under extreme conditions and generating more heat that requires increased fan speed for cooling.
