Rated Pressure: This is the pressure at which the pump is designed to operate continuously. For Denison vane pumps used in injection molding and die – casting machines, the rated pressure could be in the range of several hundred to over a thousand pounds per square inch (psi) or megapascals (MPa). For example, it could be around 20 – 30 MPa (2900 – 4350 psi).
Maximum Pressure: The pump can withstand a higher pressure for short – term operations. The maximum pressure value is typically higher than the rated pressure and is specified in the product manual to ensure safe operation under extreme conditions.
3. Speed Range
Minimum Speed: There is a minimum rotational speed below which the pump may not function properly. This could be due to issues such as insufficient lubrication or cavitation. The minimum speed might be around 600 – 1000 revolutions per minute (RPM).
Maximum Speed: Exceeding the maximum speed can cause excessive wear, noise, and potential damage to the pump. The maximum speed could be in the range of 2000 – 3000 RPM, depending on the specific design and application requirements.
